Happy #caturday! enjoy your weekend everyone!
Doja and Felica patiently waiting for the weekend to start
Lick mats filled with squeeze cheese or peanut butter is a great way to distract our fur friends while doing tasks like nail trims, vaccines or bandage changes. It’s tasty and makes all things less scary which is our goal as a Fear Free hospital Olive says happy wiggle Wednesday!

Enjoy your weekend!
This is a Golden Retriever’s paws after going outside to potty one time. They’re covered in ash from the surrounding wildfires. While the air quality may be improving making it very tempting to go outside and enjoy the sunshine, please remember there is still a ton of ash on the ground that collects on the bottom of our shoes and our pet’s paws. It is important to not let your pet lick their paws after they’ve been outside. Ingesting the ash wether in the air or orally like this can make our pets sick. After you take your pets outside, please remember to wash their paws off before going back inside! Now go out and enjoy some fresh air while our air quality is good!
Snowie and Lloyd waiting patiently for their well #kitten check up Snowie finds a leash to play with and why not! (Supervised of course!) The vet never looked so fun! #happycaturday
Happy #caturday friends!
Clementine waiting patiently for her turn in surgery! Every step of the pet’s visit is taken into consideration at our hospital. Because Clementine is fearful, she is given sedatives to calm her and make her comfortable, she is given a jacket to keep her warm and a staff member sits with her until her surgery time. This is what being a #fearfree hospital is all about!
Hi everyone. It appears there is a cell tower down near our hospital making it so we are unable to make OR receive calls to and from our hospital and parking lot with certain cell carriers. We are working diligently to have this issue resolved as soon as possible. If you need to contact us, and it’s not an urgent matter, please text us at 925-326-6578 or email us at [email protected]. If you have a scheduled appointment and are not able to get ahold of us electronically, please come to the front door/window and knock on the door. Someone will greet you shortly. If your pet is experiencing an emergency, please take your pet to Concord SAGE. Their phone number is 925-627-7243. Thank you for your patience and we will let you know when our phone lines are functioning properly.

We are reaching some record breaking temperatures out there! Please keep these heat safety tips in mind when taking your pet outside. Never leave a dog in a hot car, even with the windows cracked. Always walk your dog early in the morning before the heat sets in or later in the evening if it has cooled off enough. Always check the ground to make sure it’s not too hot for your pup. If you’re dog is experiencing any signs of heat stroke, please call your veterinary hospital immediately or take them to the emergency vet. Let’s beat this heat! : #dvmmultimedia
Please call our office for any last minute prescriptions or pet food needs! A happy Labor Day! #laborday
Sunny enjoying his Fear Free time at the hospital with our fan favorite, octopus! Going to see the vet should be fun. Not only do our patients get delicious treats (we always ask mom and dad first!) but they get to play with toys too! Win win
We found a set of car keys in our parking lot! If you are missing your car keys, please call our office at 925-685-0512 to identify them.
