i wrote this blog post to spread the word about how valuable classical chinese herbal medicine can be during this pandemic, but if your attention span is too short to click through....basically: chinese herbs can help you at home if you are feeling sick with cold or flu symptoms, shortness of breath, etc--you are not alone and so many of us are ready to help. i can work with you in california, but if you are elsewhere, please let me find a you a good nearby referral!

If you are hiding out in your social distancing cave and have more time to spend in the kitchen and worry, it is such a good time to get an herbal consultation and cook up a raw chinese herb formula on the stove! This is especially true if you have compromised immunity, lung or digestion problems, or feel run down--even more so if you are having any cold or flu symptoms. I am still seeing people in person (without cold symptoms or fever), but I am also happy to do distance he...rbal consultations over email or skype. i would need you to fill out my form (in the link below) and send a picture of your tongue. I will put together your formula and can offer a few options for pickup, can send in the mail, or deliver to you if you are within ten minutes drive of me. Consultation including a week’s worth of herbs is $60 plus extra if you need shipping or delivery. (my friendly pandemic discount) The use of Chinese herbal formulas has been so important and helpful in the treatment of covid-19 in China, both in its early stages and alongside western treatment in the hospital. The Chinese medicine community is awash with information from practitioners in China--many of us are looking at and discussing case studies to learn about the course and herbal treatment of the illness. We would love to put this knowledge to good use

If we want to help kids with attention and behavioral issues, the answer is quite simple - get them outside for some play time! Exercise activates parts of the ...brain that help with executive function (making better decisions) and attention! One more reason we need to bring PE back into schools every single day. http://www.openculture.com//this-is-your-brain-on-exercise See more

cmon everybody! low fat dairy is from a strange outdated western medical idea that looks at food, nutrition, and humans like a chemistry lab. eating fat is not what makes you fat! low fat dairy spikes your blood sugar and makes you more hungry... glad to see this kind of thing is hitting the mainstream more and more
