CAUSE is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit, nonpartisan, community-based organization with a mission to advance the political empowerment of the Asian Pacific Islander com...munity through voter registration and education, community outreach, and leadership development. They are offering ASIA@CSUDH leaders and members the exclusive oppounity to attend their upcoming 2015 CAUSE Leadership Academy (CLA). The CLA is one of their core programs and is dedicated to developing leadership skills for individuals interested in exploring a career in public office, public service, or community advocacy. In addition to the LA program, they proudly announce that they have expanded the CLA to include a Washington, D.C. component. Purpose is to prepare interns to move to the forefront of the legislative arena, and there is no better place to gain exposure to the political world than our nation’s capital. I highly encourage individuals from our organization to apply, as there will be limited spots for internship placement in D.C. Our sister club, the Human Services Student Association at CSUDH is having a Homeless Hygiene Drive with the Long Beach Rescue Mission from now until the second week of December, at the Human Services office room EAC 900, we can leave our donation with Pam. All these items will go directly to the Shelter please help a person today but donating some grooming and basic daily hygiene materials such like:Shampoo,Razors,Toothbrush/ toothpaste,Scrubs,etc...

"Hi everyone, As the holiday season approaches, the Asian Pacific Studies Program is going to have a mixer/holiday party for our minors and ASIA@CSUDH members. There will be student presentations on their works, food, music and more. Please plan to attend and invite your friends, too. This mixer is open to everyone. The mixer/holiday party will be held on Dec. 2nd (Tue.) between 3:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. in the LSU Ballroom B. To add more festivity to the event, wear or bring something Asian!
