When I received the news that my beloved friend and master of hairstyling was having to throw in the towel after 22 years due to the massive financial impact of Covid 19, I was devastated. Both Kirk and Jarrod Harms, have been true pillars of the Encinitas Community with Detour Salon being one of the major cornerstones in Downtown Encinitas. The financial devastation due to these circumstances has left them broken. If any of you have had the pleasure of spending time at Detou...r Salon over the years, you know that this was a place ALL were welcome. Jarrod and Kirk spent countless hours extending themselves for others by contributing time, energy and resources to many amazing causes. My heart is broken for them. Now more than ever homeowners are realizing just how important their home environment is, and looking for new ways to update and maximize their interior spaces as well as creating more appealing outdoor living areas. For those of you struggling with next months credit card bill, it may be worth your time to reach out to your credit card company to discuss waiving your minimum monthly payment during this time as well. Many companies are willing to work with you, so it does not hurt to reach out to them sooner than later.

I am sure by now most of us are practicing these cleaning rituals. Just in case there is someone out there wondering how best to disinfect your home, this article is helpful.
