HIGHLIGHT OF THE WEEK Thank God for the opportunity to conduct invocation for the Azusa City Hall council meeting. It's an assignment and a moment of destiny to pray the blessings of God upon the leaders and people.

SCHOOL OF WISDOM: OVERCOMING OFFENSE As long as you deal with people in the family, marriage, organizations, church, business, and yes political as it is today, you will have ample opportunities to pick offense or be offended. But here is what the Bible said to help you walk in wisdom, victory, sanity of mind, and please God. 1. Woe to the world because of offenses! For OFFENSES MUST COME, but woe to that man by whom the offense comes! Matthew 18:7 NKJV... 2. "He who is slow to anger is better than the mighty, And he who RULES HIS SPIRIT than he who takes a city." Proverbs 16:32 NKJV 3. The DISCRETION of a man makes him SLOW to anger, And his glory is to OVERLOOK a TRANSGRESSION (offense). Proverbs 19:11 NKJV. You don't have to do too much or look for it, offensive words, actions, choices, developments, and people will cross your path. You may be in the right or your position and beliefs may give you the right to pick offense. Self-control (discretion), self-love, and the fear of God should be your guide. Read those verses again. Many marriages, profitable business partnerships, long friendships have been poisoned or ended bitterly because someone chose to pick offense. You have a choice. The Bible says you have "discretion". Again, it says you have the discretion. I am not telling you what to do. Think of the cost or outcome. Your ego will rise and say don't let him or her get away withthis, you got to do something. This wisdom and realization that I have a choice and discretion liberated me many years ago. It is the foundation of my marital success, humility, and joyful living. If you pick offense, don't be surprised by the reactions, and you may not be able to control how it ends. Acts wisely and godly with your spouse and others. This can make your marriage blissful. There will be no need or room for confession of sins or seeking settlement/reconciliation. When you're offended, God will guide you to deal with it without sinning or causing damages. Hence, the Bible says, "You can be angry without committing sins." This is winning wisdom. Walk and acts wisely and make the devil bite the dust today.
