A big THANK YOU to Bakersfield Fire Dept crews! Who diligently worked at extinguishing both fires that started Saturday. It is gut wrenching to see our neighbors businesses to the south burned to a total loss. The Museum was fortunate we sustained water and smoke damage. It will take a while to clean up. But the building and exhibits are all ok.

New beautiful security fence and gates! More painting is still to come. For now here are a few photos. A Big Thank you! to Hurleys Home who did the welding and fabrication, B&B Metal made the metal animal cut outs, Bakersfield Paint donated the paint, Home Depot the many needed misc parts and many individuals and Lazzerini Foundation who gave generous donations. And many volunteers who helped with primer and painting. We could not have created these gates with out everyone's help. Sincerely Gratefull to all.
