We here at SCYB have missed you all. We hope you and your families are all healthy and well during these uncertain and unprecedented times. We wanted to share with you all some exciting news. We are opening registration for the Spring 2021 season December 4th through our website. Registration though will look a little different as we won't be asking you to pay for the Spring season until conditions will clearly allow for the season to take place. We want to get registration ...started so we can start planning accordingly for what we hope will be an awesome return to baseball. Our tentative plan is to hold tryouts in February and start the season in late March, with the desire being to get as close to a complete and normal season as possible running into June. This news is exciting for all of us here at SCYB and we hope you are excited too. It has been too long since we have seen you all out at the ballpark and we hope we can get together soon. After weeks of deliberation, due to the current Covid-19 restrictions that remain in place within Los Angeles County, we at SCYB have made the difficult decision to cancel our 2020 Spring Baseball season. We have decided to offer a $150 credit to all members to utilize for the Spring 2021 season. This credit will be sent to all families that were signed up for this Spring season when registration opens for the Spring 2021 season. At this time we hope there will be a Fall 2020 season, but in these uncertain times nothing can be guaranteed. For our outgoing 12-year-olds, each of you are invited to return for your final season next Spring. Your Board of Directors would have preferred to issue refunds, yet the operational costs of the 2020 season such as the construction of batting cages, chartering, insurance, baseball uniforms and equipment prohibit this. SCYB has overcome monumental challenges through it's brief history and it will take the many dedicated volunteers, the support of our loyal membership and the spirit of our ballplayers to help us rebound and make our next season the best one to date. Until that point, when we can all reunite at the ballpark, please be safe and take care of each other.

If your player has been missing baseball, the Farm SCV will be having a 3 day infield clinic with special guest coaches. Update: March 25 We wanted to provide an update you all. We are following the advice and guidance of state and local officials while examining all possible scenarios to return baseball to our SCYB families. While we are unsure of when we are able to return to the ball fields at this time, we will make every possible effort to play ball soon, and put together the remainder of our season. Be well everyone. Go have a catch. ... March 14 Due to the national emergency related to COVID -19, SCYB has temporarily suspended play. We will be monitoring this ever evolving situation and we'll be guided by state and local officials on our next course of action. When local officials deem it safe to return to baseball related activities we'll notify all members. Thank you and be safe!

To All Parents and Players: With more rain in the forecast and the fields already water logged we are canceling the games scheduled for March 14th. We will endeavor to reschedule these games later in the season and will update everyone once these games have been rescheduled. Most likely these games will be rescheduled for a weeknight during practice time. Thank you to everyone for their understanding. In addition all of us here at SCYB are aware of the current health crisis f...acing our nation. We are monitoring the situation closely and will take our directive from local officials in regards to the canceling of practices and games. Please reach out to us with any questions. UPDATE: BATTING CAGES ARE CLOSED AS WELL FIELDS ARE CLOSED THROUGH FRIDAY Because of all the rain these past two days the Fields are closed through Friday. A decision on this weekends games will be made later in the week. Everyone be safe out there.

Opening Pitch Spring 2020

Don't forget tomorrow is opening day. The festivities start at 9 am with the parade of teams, ceremonial first pitch and a league photo. Have your player at the field in their uniform by 8:45 am. After all this fun, get ready for a full day of baseball with games running into the night. Bring your appetite as Realty One will be hosting a BBQ with all the proceeds going to SCYB. So come out and eat some food and enjoy some baseball. Let's play ball!
