Another wonderful Harvest Fest event today, this time hosted by our fabulous Save the Children staff, Maria Olegine snd Silvia Sandoval! Seeing the enthusiasm of preschoolers picking out the perfect pumpkin is just what is needed to raise your spirits!

Annual PreSchool Fall Festival

Save the Children is holding the Preschool Harvest Festival tomorrow, Thursday, October 29th, from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. at Wilsona Elementary School. Children under the age of 5 will get a free pumpkin, and there will be gifts and surprises in store too! Children (and parents) can dress up in costume, and please wear a face mask. If you have preschoolers, drive through our Harvest Festival tomorrow!

It was a festive morning at Challenger, as the staff decorated the bus loading zone for their drive through Harvest Festival! Students got a mini-pumpkin, donated by Vons, a treat bag from PTSO, library books, and school supplies from PESA! A big "Thank You" to all who made this possible for our students today!

In this week's Green Chair Chats, we welcome Vice-Principals Ray Strasser-King and Shawnda Trent. You may think that the vice-principal of a school deals with student behavior and discipline, but a lot has changed. Our vice-principals now work on a more global level to ensure student success by monitoring academic progress, attendance, discipline, and social-emotional wellness, the coordinate interventions that will serve the whole child.
