Here are some pictures of our 100th Day of school from yesterday.

Rarely, if ever, do children say I’d like your attention. I want to connect with you. Do you notice me?... They ask those questions through actions, often inconvenient or frustrating behaviors. When we are trying to make dinner, have a conversation without them, or help their sibling with a task. When we are able to self regulate we can get curious. Why is this behavior happening now? What need do they have? If they need attention, they’re letting us know they need to feel connected, need to feel seen. Maybe you’re nervous that if you give them that attention then they’ll always use this behavior to ask for attention in the future. When we can identify that need verbally, we can let them know not just what they can’t do, but what they CAN do to communicate their need to connect. This is how we build their toolbox. What connection seeking behaviors have you noticed lately? What could your kiddo do instead to communicate that need?

A cardboard box (shoe boxes, amazon boxes, small boxes, etc) is the perfect thing to use to help kids think flexibly, be creative, and set the groundwork for problem-solving. What is something that you notice about your child this week?

Last week's science experiment with Mrs. Bek. "Making fireworks".

Today some of our preschool friends went to our STEM Lab outside to explore seashells. They used a scale to weigh the seashells and try to predict which seashell was heavier.

Here are pictures from our first day of Preschool, in house and online class! The children had a great time getting to know their new teachers, classmates, and new classroom! Praying a blessing of wisdom, grace, strong relationships, and the love of Jesus to shine for all to see!

Hello parents, It has been a while since our last post. This has great insight into deeper feelings. Children can have a deeper connection with family and pers when they can verbally express and label their emotions. Social-emotional is extremely important in the early years and I feel now more than ever we should check on ourselves and our children's emotional health to make sure we are getting what we need.

We were going to have Mister Q come to our school during Music week. He shared with me that he will be live streaming songs, telling stories, and do small projects to help engage young ones for a little while. Long-overdue Dr. Seuss week pictures! We miss you all!

Today we celebrated our Multicultural Day! My heart was overflowing, seeing the different countries flags represented on the classroom boards and doors. I'm amazed to see how God has brought so many families from different cultures and far away countries to our preschool! What a beautiful image of God's love and perfect plan for us!

The preschool was able to have a sneak peak of the elementary schools Christmas play Wrapping All The Way yesterday. They all did wonderful!
