State Assemblyman Mike Gipson presented Wilmington Community Clinic with a Certificate of Appreciation today to thank the Clinic for our service to the community as frontline healthcare workers. WCC thanks Assemblyman Gipson for his unwavering support and this token of appreciation. Accepting the certificate were the CEO, Dolores Bonilla, and the Clinic’s Board Chair, Shannon Cisch.

The staff at the Wilmington Community Clinic have started to plan our Annual Holiday Event for our pediatric patients and their families. This year’s 23rd Annual Toy Drive and Adopt-a-Family Event will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2020, at the Clinic from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. At this event, we traditionally give out basic clothing, toiletry items and toys for the children. For most of our patients who attend, this event provides the only gifts they will receive for the holidays and brings a little joy to their holiday season. It is our hope that you will be able to support the event so that we don’t have to turn anyone away. This year, due to COVID-19 and an abundance of caution, WCC will be holding this event as a Drive-Thru only event.

National Health Center Week, which is an annual celebration with the goal of raising awareness about the mission and accomplishments of America’s community health centers, is being held August 10-14, 2020. To celebrate everything that WCC does for the community, Valero generously provided gas gift cards to staff, and in partnership with the Latino Restaurant Association, lunch was also donated from Tres Cochinitos. We are currently looking for volunteers who can donate their time to assist us with our upcoming Drive Thru Health Fair.
