Who is this masked woman? Last Thursday afternoon we helped 22 West Marin residents complete the census. This means 220K for our community over the next 10 years! Make yourself count! It's Tueday! A perfect day to complete your census. Really! Just do it. As one of our community members says, "I did it online at the urging of a Facebook friend's post. What had flummoxed me previously was right at the beginning when they asked for an ID number. The Facebook post said that if you didn't have a number, you could just skip over that part and continue on...so don't let that stop you. It is easy."

All of us at WMCS hope you will be inspired to complete the census. It's estimated that for every person not counted, the community loses at least $10,000 in essential services. COVID-19 is revealing so much inequity. One way to fight back is by making sure that you and everyone you know is counted. Yesterday was the last day for three of our volunteers which is epically sad but we’re going to hang on to the joy they brought us. They came just when we needed them and their bright, enthusiastic, compassionate energy buoyed our spirits week after week. They are so hard-working, humble, and smart, and they’ll always have a home with us. We love you Anna, Hiroki, and Michael!
