This 2021, we’ve made some changes in hopes of discouraging residents from setting off illegal fireworks before and during the Fourth of July holiday. Tenants or property owners will now be cited if there is evidence that illegal fireworks were at the property, were sold at the property, or set off at the property. Officers will issue a $1,000 fine per violation. Please keep in mind that pinpointing the location of where illegal fireworks are being set off can be an extremel...y difficult task. While they may appear to be nearby, in reality, they could be blocks away. Watsonville Fire Department City of Watsonville - City Gov't
