6 years ago we performed surgery on this Goose because he had bumblefoot. We removed the bumblefoot and here are photos from 6 years ago... During the surgery, right after the surgery, and 6 years later (now). It's great to see our patient doing well.

So...next item on the agenda and one in which we can use everyone's help. Dr. Alex Swope who has been handling vet duties on Mondays at the clinic, is moving on to another opportunity much closer to her home. We will miss her and we wish her well! Consequently, we are in need of a veterinarian who is interested in working 1-2 days per week. If everyone will help spread the word that we are looking for someone, I'm sure that we can find the perfect doctor who will fit into the vibe of our "friends and family" establishment!

Friends and Clients!...It's time for Affordable Vet Clinic to get rolling on Facebook again! Those who have visited the clinic since October will know me but I'll introduce myself for those who haven't. My name is David Shemanski and Dr. Roueche and his lovely wife, Stacey (that's a biased opinion as you'll find out in a moment but VERY true ) asked me to step in to the position of Office Manager at the end of September 2016. My biased opinion of John's wife, Stacey, comes f...rom the fact that I am married to her sister, Virginia! (I know that John agrees that we are a couple of lucky guys ). While this fact MIGHT have had a little something to do with their choice of me for the position, (many thanks to them both for their faith in me), I have had a good bit of experience managing businesses and I LOVE working with the public (one of my first jobs was as a checker at the old Alpha Beta market on Lyons Avenue). Also, although I have lived around both small and large animals my whole life (and have nursed quite a few through health issues), I have never before worked in the veterinary field. THAT fact hasn't mattered a BIT as working with John and the team of talented people we have at the clinic has made this job the most FUN I've ever had in any position I've held.
