It's #NationalFoodBankWeek. Not only do @SDSheriff Deputies take the oath to keep #SanDiegoCounty safe, but they also team up with our community partners to help those in need. Let's keep working together by supporting our local food banks. #InYourCommunity #teamworkmakesthedreamwork @countyofsandiego #repost Photo: @sdsheriff

The County Air Pollution Control District's Kids' Clean Air Calendar Contest is back! Kids --- submit your original clean-air art by Nov. 20. Be part of the air solution by fighting air pollution --- and see your artwork published!
Fall is when California's fire danger is typically highest because dried-out vegetation is primed to burn after the typical summer dry season. Gusty Santa Ana winds also occur more frequently during this time. Don’t let your guard down this time of year and be ready to evacuate should you receive an evacuation alert. Always take the fastest and most familiar route to a wide, primary road, away from the fire if possible. During an evacuation, law enforcement or emergency personnel may direct you to an alternate route. Always follow their directions. To sign up for evacuation alerts in San Diego County visit ReadySanDiego.org #dontfallforit #readysetgo #escaperoute #bereadyforanything #october #firedepartment #sandiegocounty #calfiresandiego #calfire #repost @calfiresandiego
