We need your help! Under California’s tiered reopening plan to manage the spread of COVID-19, Sac County is currently in the Red Tier, which allows us to be open at 10% capacity. While we are grateful for the ability to be open at this time, the potential for another closure is ever present. This, combined with occupancy restrictions, makes it extremely difficult to run a successful business and so we have joined forces with the newly formed California Indoor Climbing Coa...lition for better representation of our unique industry at the state level. We echo this statement from the CICC:While we fully support the purpose of the current county-by-county restrictions, we now know enough to move indoor climbing into less restrictive bounds. Based on our discussions with local public health officials, we believe that we can operate safely under pre-closure COVID guidelines, whether we are Purple (highest tier) or not. To help the cause, here’s what you can do: Go to CICCoalition.org Click Take Action Fill out the sample email to Gov + State Public Health Hit send to and your tiny effort could have a giant impact! . . . . . #scienceisathing #covid_19 #coronavirus #california #californialove #climb #gymclosed #quarantine #climbingwall #climbinggym #climbingcommunity #indoorclimbing #caiforniaclimbing #caiforniaclimber #californiaclimbinggyms #rockwallclimbing #maskup

We are now offering Day Passes! To prioritize access for our members and punch pass users, day passes will only be available in limited quantities and for time slots that haven’t been filling up. They are available through our online reservation system and also through the RGPro Connect app. Let us know if you have any questions!

The Boulder Field 06.09.2020

Our reservation system has gone mobile! Using the RGPro Connect App (available to both iPhone and Android users), you can: * Create a user account, allowing you to log in and quickly book reservations * See how many people are currently in the gym with the occupancy counter... * Check your recent bookings and cancel your reservation if needed * Check in at the front desk with your phone Questions about how to use the app? Email [email protected].

Sacramento County has successfully moved into a lower tier on the Blueprint for a Safer Economy and we are now able to resume indoor operations at a limited capacity. Yay!!! We will be reopening the gym this Thursday, October 1st at 12pm. We can’t wait to see all of you back climbing on our walls! This reopening will be similar to our last (in mid-June), however we have a few adjustments based on new guidelines.... Capacity will be limited to 50 people at a time in adherence with regulations assigned by our current tier in the CA reopening process. We will continue to use the reservation system that was put in place this summer to ensure equal use of the facility by all members. Our hours have been adjusted to better accommodate the financial pressures of reopening at a 10% capacity. Our weekday hours will be from 12pm - 10pm. Our weekend hours will be from 8am - 4pm. We hope to expand on these hours moving forward based on demand and with movement into a less restrictive tier. Once again, huge thanks to our wonderful community for your support during the closures. We wouldn’t be here today without you!

As the gym is still shut down, and more people are climbing outdoors, we thought it would be a good time to remind everyone of some basic outdoor climbing ethics! Leave No Trace! Pack out what you pack in. In order to keep enjoying our beautiful outdoor spaces, we need to take care of them to ensure continued access not only for us, but for future generations of climbers. This also means brushing off your tick marks. Do not alter the natural rock in any way.... Don’t play loud music. Music can disturb others trying to enjoy the outdoors. Respect other climbers who are there first. Give plenty of space, especially in COVID times. Be aware of where you put your gear. Sprawling gear can disturb sensitive soil, crush plant life, and disturb other climbing parties. Stay on designated trails! When you have to go number 2, the best ways to dispose of your waste depends on what kind of environment you’re climbing in. Use a toilet whenever possible, carry a wag bag or another disposal bag to pack it out, in popular climbing area’s, DON’T dig a hole, carry it out. Whether you're going #1 or #2, move at least 200 feet away from water sources before doing your business. Find out more: www.accessfund.org/poop Remember, climbing outdoors has more hazards than climbing in the gym. Climbing is inherently dangerous inside and outside. If you haven’t climbed outside before, find a mentor. Make sure your pad placements are correct, double check your gear, your partners, and be aware. Photo: @marymeck

It’s September! Wow! This year certainly hasn’t gone quite how we expected. How’s everyone holding up? We’re still here! Right now we are doing our best to survive and waiting on the green light to reopen. California just released a new tiered system for reopening the economy, however for the time being, our status will not change. We want to extend a massive thank you to everyone who has continued to support us through this forced closure. It is honestly a huge part of the reason why we are still here today and ready to reopen ASAP. For our full September update and to opt in to continue supporting the gym during this closure, please follow the link in our bio. Thank you and we can’t wait to see all of you climbing our walls sooner rather than later!

The Boulder Field 06.07.2020

Please consider signing this petition to CA Governor Gavin Newsom requesting that climbing gyms be released from the COVID-19 shutdown orders.

The Boulder Field 22.06.2020

Due to the new Public Health Order from the State of California, The Boulder Field is temporarily closing (again), effective immediately. More info to come.

It’s been a little over 2 weeks since our reopening and we just want to thank all of you for coming back to climb with us while also doing a fantastic job respecting our new rules and regulations. We have the best community! At this time we are only open to Members and Punch Pass holders but for the month of July, we will continue to waive the initiation fee for all new member sign ups. For our members that are still on freeze, we will not charge freeze fees through the mont...h of July. We understand that not everyone is comfortable returning to the gym while we continue to battle the spread of COVID-19. Stay safe and healthy everyone! Hope to see all of you at the gym (from at least 6 ft. away of course).

The Boulder Field 17.06.2020

Right now we are only open to members and punch-card holders, BUT, you can easily become a member! We are waiving initiation fees for the time being. Not ready to commit? You can easy purchase a punch card online! Also, for first time members we have a 3 month introductory membership. If you have any questions, call our front desk!
