The VCAAA’s COVID-19 meal programs will be ending effective July 9th, 2021. This includes deliveries of restaurant meals for participants of the Great Plates Delivered Program. Individuals still in need of food and meal assistance may be eligible for other VCAAA Senior Nutrition Services. Calling all Ventura County schools! The VCAAA is extending a call to action to local schools for a Holiday Greetings Campaign aimed to reach older adults and people with disabilities. We are seeking Thanksgiving greeting cards that are handmade or premade by local students of all ages with a short holiday greeting written inside. Interested in participating? ... Join us for the next VCAAA Aging and Disability Resource Network meeting on October 29th at 2 p.m. Guests will have the opportunity to listen to a presentation from the VCAAA’s Fall Prevention Program focusing on current Fall Prevention classes, opportunities for students and instructors, and the isolation many older adults have experienced through the COVID-19 crisis.
