Calling all business owners and property managers! On Thursday, June 17th at 5:00p.m., the Vallejo Chamber of Commerce is partnering with Flock Safety to engage our business community and police department in a discussion on crime deterrent solutions. The virtual event will include a presentation from Flock Safety on their public operation system identifying the ways that the technology can help businesses and law enforcement work together to reduce crime, protect privacy, an...d mitigate bias. Accordingly to Flock, the technology can help reduce crime by 70% or more and has helped agencies in investigating and prosecuting a myriad of local crimes, including catalytic converter thefts in San Ramon, $1M+ in stolen vehicles recovered in Hemet, jewelry thefts at a local business in Vacaville, and robberies here in Vallejo. Flock Safety can also be a critical tool in silver and amber alerts when searching for missing persons. We are encouraging all business owners or property managers to join the discussion and learn more about the technology and how it can be used to defeat crime in our community.
