Eucalyptus st. residential bathroom completed! From the outset it was our intention to have this bathroom function more like a spa with materials and surfaces you can touch, feel, and experience through a range of different sunlighting positions throughout the day. The dynamic light qualities were further developed into individual wall planters for orchids and succulents - each optimally positioned for individual plant types. Features include custom metal panel door, integr...ated towel warmer, heated floor, and motorized skylight. Ultra-Unit is now accepting internship applications for two positions over the summer. We here at the studio are committed to making the internship process a valuable one and will focus instruction on professional design production. Interns will work side by side with our staff in producing an architecture competition entry. Candidates can email resume and portfolio works to [email protected] and should be at least second year in a university program.

Our team has been working with a great client, Zain Ramjan and his family for months developing this carwash as a contemporary adaption of googie architectural style. The location will be in replacement of the existing carwash at 3525 Anaheim St. here in Long Beach. The Ultra-Unit team including Karl Roesch and Peiyan Jiang are making this city a little bit more amazing..... Completed project will include a dog wash and frisky play area - necessary for recently washed dogs :) and bike / motorcycle cleaning station.

We have always had immense pride in the fact that we are constantly improving our city in part by adapting many of our old buildings and neighborhoods into contemporary cultural context. The Ripples night club is an amazing piece of Long Beach history and iconic as an epicenter for the gay culture of past. On a more personal note, its also where I met my wife almost 13 years ago, we attended dance classes next door and socialized there afterward. With this immense burden we have considered the adaption of this past into a more neighborhood connected, view oriented, extroverted and inclusive venue. This would be a remodel of the original structure with the resurrection of the kitchen service which the original building of the 1930's was created with. Thank you Martin Porter and other unnamed partners for allowing us to participate.

We are proud of this new building which we are developing in conjunction with Minarc. https://www.facebook.com/minarcdesign/ This is a 29 unit apartment building in the city of Van Nuys which dramatically exceeds minimum parking requirements. Those tubes are not just for good looks, they dramatically demonstrate the water reclamation from the roof to the planted berm and are functional roof drain, guardrail, and brise soliel. ... 40,000 sf with the majority of the units as three bedrooms, close to the growing Van Nuys business district.

We are fortunate to be able to help Salud Juice Bar owners Steve and Angela open up in a new space on retro row - corner of 4th and cherry. Another great example of how new entrepreneurs activate neighborhoods.
