Happy Gameday everyone! We are excited to see the Trojans play again, and we hope you are all Fighting On safely. While we cannot hold our Pass the Can fundraiser at a live game this year, it is still ON(line)! Check out this link to donate: https://www.flipcause.com/secure/cause_pdetails/OTg0MDc=
Troy Camp has had some amazing executive boards over the years, but this video from 2008 has to be one of the best! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dzJQUXsA4cU
There are only 2 more weeks left in the semester, and our Leaders in Training have had an amazing time so far learning life skills, working on homework, and spending time together online (with a bit of Among Us in there too!) Say hello to LITeam 11!
We are proud to say that our Pass the Can fundraiser has raised nearly $8000 so far! We are BEYOND thankful for all of those who have helped us this far, but it's not too late! Visit the link below to donate! https://www.flipcause.com/secure/cause_pdetails/OTg0MDc=
We want to share with all of you this amazing message from a former counselor! Clap clap you rock to Lilian "Whac-a-mole" for volunteering her time <3. Hi! I'm Whac-a-mole, and I had the joy and privilege of being a counselor for the G6 cabin of 4th-grade gems with my co-counselor Milan "Cowabunga" Carter. During college my memory got much worse (getting enough sleep is important, y'all) so, I treasure any and all pictures that I have with my co and our G6 "spy chicks." Memo...ries like making a web of friendship at camp, having a pool party cabin event by campus, and having a truly magical time at Disney. One of the tough things about moving away from LA after college was giving up the ability to hang out with our G6 girls regularly and watching them grow as they transitioned from middle to high school, hopefully developing relationships with new mentors in Troy Camp's Leaders in Training program (they're in 9th grade this year, my goodness). I'm so grateful to everyone, from the folks tossing coins into a milk jug at the Coliseum to the counselors and advisors who keep Troy Camp going, and every other donor and volunteer who makes Troy Camp possible every year! Pass that virtual can, y'all, and get that MONEY so Troy Camp can keep on connecting student mentors with amazing youth in the community!!! https://www.flipcause.com/secure/cause_pdetails/OTg0MDc=
The First "Troy Camp" occured in 1948, when 15 counselors took a group of 90 students into the San Bernardino mountains, and we have been engaging in programming with our kids ever since!
Pass the Can has been a staple at the USC homecoming football game since the 1960's! Every year, we pass dozens of milk jugs around the Coliseum to collect money for our kiddos to go to camp for free. Unfortunately, we can't have PTC in person this year, but that won't stop us from raising money for our kiddos! We hope you enjoy this nostalgic video from PTC just a few years ago! At today's yearlong event, each cabin group had to solve riddles, complete puzzles, and engage in other fun activities to help our Wackys find their way out of a corn maze! We had a super fun time doing this virtual breakout room, and we hope all that attended did as well!
One of our kids' favorite activities at camp is archery. In fact, our campers have been learning archery for over 50 years!
Ever wonder where the money we raise during Pass The Can goes to? Every dollar helps facilitate great moments for our kids! Click the link in our bio to donate!
You can now support Troy Camp every time you shop at Ralph's! Follow these simple steps to contribute a portion of every purchase towards our campers - at no additional cost!
This just in... our fall fundraiser, Pass the Can 2020, is on(line)! Check out the flipcause link below to donate, and stay tuned for more information coming soon! https://www.flipcause.com/secure/cause_pdetails/OTg0MDc=
