Streaming this week in our community: Lil Buck has just released "Nobody Knows," a short film where he reflects on his past through his signature jookin moves and the stirring vocals of a church choir. We are delighted to present the second annual SFDFF Embodiment Award to Oakland-based company YAK Films! This award acknowledges the achievements and influence of artists or organizations who have significantly contributed to the community of dance and filmmaking. YAK Films has launched a global movement that inspires street dancers to embrace their local street culture while using dance videos to connect to the international dance community. In their films, YAK consistently elevates location, celebrates personal expression, and provokes timely conversations. Congratulations to this powerful company!
