*****COVID-19 UPDATE***** I am sorry to say we have 2 employees that are positive for COVID-19 and I will be very honest with you, I have no idea how....everyone wears a mask, has their own phones, pens etc and it still occurred. We will temporarily close for daycare and will not be accepting any new boarders until further notice...if you dog is still at camp we will have minimal staff to take care of them safely. Unfortunately we will be canceling any future boarders comin...g in. I need to speak with the Public Health Department to see what their recommendations are, but we cannot and do not want to be a super spreader facility. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you and your family, but since I know how careful our staff are, I just can't risk the health and safety of our staff or clients..... COVID-19 Announcement The California Regional Stay Home Order, announced December 3, 2020, will go into effect within 48 hours in regions with less than 15% ICU availability. Camp Run-A-Mutt San Marcos will remain open and is classified as an essential business. Please remember to adhere to our current safety measures:... * Please ring the doorbell outside when you arrive and let your dog into the fenced space, we will use our own leashes * Please wear a mask and socially distance yourself while waiting. * CRAMSM will be only taking payments over the phone to reduce the contact. * Please be patient and allow for a little additional time when dropping off or picking up especially between peak times 7:00-9:00am and 4:00-6:00pm. COVID-19 Update..... As it stands right now, we will continue to keep our doors open and move forward with the increasing our hours. With the way we have the lobby set up and not allowing customers in the building, the staff gets their temperatures checked and must wear a mask, unless they are outside and very distant from each other, we feel we can remain open safely. The only deciding factors would be if we are unable to maintain a manageable dog census. Well some are excited about Camp opening....Houdini can sleep anywhere! Next week we will be advancing our hours, Monday through Friday 8-5. OPENING UPDATE- So here is it, the "Big Reveal" so to speak,lol We are planning on opening our doors on June 1st to all of our current customers. We will start off with modified hours to see what the needs are and how to staff in a safe and effective manner.... We will be open for the first week Monday, Wednesday, Friday only, 8-5. We will remain closed on Saturday and Sunday for the time being. Currently we will not be open for boarding until we can assess the needs. We will work towards setting up temperament test, once we figure out the flow and get settled in. ***THIS IS IMPORTANT*** The lobby will be closed to all clients. We will have an alcove set up outside the front doors where you can safely let your pup in. Our staff will come retrieve your dog once you have moved away. We ask that you keep you leash with you so we don't have to worry about disinfecting it. All payments will be taken over the phone at this time. You may either pay before or after pick up. If you need grooming services you can call Ania directly at 805-906-1150 to schedule your appointment. We will not be holding any obedience for the time being. If you need to pick up Soul'y Raw food, you will need to call in advance and we will take your order over the phone, take your payment and drop off outside for you to pick up. UPDATE- I wanted to give you some insight to our plan and how we have come to our decision. We are tentatively planning on opening June 1st. I know this may be an imposition for some of you and we truly appreciate your understanding. I know other dog daycare's and some of our other Camps are opening sooner. As some of you know I am a nurse and I have been concerned about this virus before it was known to have come to the US.... Our main concern is the health and safety of our staff and their families. I believe we can open and keep our customer at a distance and safe from any spread of the virus, but that is not necessarily the case for our staff. Some of our staff have health issues that put them in a high risk categories, and others live with families that are compromised. The last thing we want is for a staff member or their family to become ill because we opened up prematurely. Our plan is to wait and see with the increase in business openings if there will be an increase in COVID-19 cases. If there is an increase in cases, we will be revisiting this opening date. We are taking a more cautious wait and see approach with those factors in mind. When it gets closer to the time of opening we will be sharing our new policies on how we can safely manage taking care of you and your pups, all the while keeping our staff safe. Again I understand that our not being open is a huge inconvenience to some of you, and for that we apologize, but in the end we are the ones responsible to maintain a safe and healthy environment for everyone involve in our business. In trying to keep you with the covid 19 situation we are going to implement some changes. Starting Tuesday We want to keep our staff and clients safe all the while meeting your needs 1. We have now have you ring the doorbell and our staff will retrieve or bring your dog to you at the gate 2. Please bring an old leash as the staff will be spraying them with lysol before storing in the baskets 3. We will be limiting our hours to 8-5 in hopes of allowing our staff to take off ...as needed 4. If you are a first responder, a nurse, or doctor and you need extended your hours please see the front desk 5. Any transactions can be done over the phone. 6.
