Board Spotlight Meet Yash Srivastav, our current Executive VP! Hi my name is Yash Srivastav and I am a 4th year majoring in economics and minoring in math... and computational social science. How has joining TCG added to your college experience? TCG has given me the opportunity to surround myself with people who are both interested in their own professional development as well as interested in the lives of each other. How has TCG helped you professionally? TCG has taught me the business acumen that's necessary for all professionals, regardless of whether they're working directly in business or not. How has TCG benefitted you personally? I've met some of my closest friends through TCG, and that's perhaps what I cherish most about the organization. Board Spotlight Meet Jasmine Guan, our current VP External! Hi my name is Jasmine and I am a 2nd-year majoring in math-econ and minoring in data science. I ...got to be a Project Manager in TCG and so far that has been the most rewarding experience. I had constant communication with clients and adjust team goals and implementations throughout the project. I also created project timelines based on client requests and tailer each steps with my personal experience. Throughout projects, I made very deep connections with my clients as well as team members and I'm constantly learning and inspired by them. The hands on project experience and the ability to apply skills and knowledge to create a real impact is definitely the best part of TCG. Join us at our first recruitment event on Tuesday 10/13 to meet Jasmine and many of our other members to learn more about what TCG is all about.

Board Spotlight Meet Abby Jin, our current VP Consulting! Hello! My name is Abby and I am a 3rd-year studying business & accounting! I joined TCG in winte...r quarter of my freshman year and have managed a project and joined the executive board since then. I came out to recruitment because I was interested in pursuing a career in management consulting, which remains true today. I've gotten a lot of great experience from this organization that has translated into workplace success, and I've also made some great friends who are likely to become future colleagues and employees of mine (just kidding). As the Vice President of Consulting this year, I am onboarding real-life projects for our Associates to work on, which is very exciting. If you're looking for a productive organization to join, I highly recommend coming out to TCG recruitment! You won't be disappointed. Join us at our first recruitment event on Tuesday 10/13 to meet Abby and many of our other members to learn more about what TCG is all about.

Board Spotlight Meet Tiffany Geng, our current VP Operations! My name is Tiffany Geng. I am a third year studying Business Psychology and Education Studies. T...CG has given me the tools and community to effectively use my skills to collaborate on projects, academics, and beyond. Teaching children has always been a passion of mine and I want to bridge stronger relationships between students, administrators, and teachers. We can all learn how to communicate better by understanding how these diverse roles influence each other from a macro education system level and a micro individual learning and working level. TCG's founding values of "Diversity in Strength" attracted me to the organizations unique culture. Resume building, job application help, and working with clients are the top most beneficial aspects that TCG has helped me professionally. I joined TCG first quarter of Freshman year, and I was quite shy and introverted. TCG has allowed me to find comfort in the discomfort and become confident in anxiety ridden situations such as case studies and presenting. My favorite memory of TCG is our participation in Holiday Handshakes where we had a bake sale, sold boba, and other fundraising activities with other UCSD business organizations to raise money for Rady Children's Hospital. I remember baking dozens and dozens of cookies. Although we barely sold any of the cookies because the boba was more popular, I really enjoyed that fundraiser. I can't wait for what the future of TCG holds. Join us at our first recruitment event on Tuesday 10/13 to meet Tiffany and many of our other members to learn more about what TCG is all about.

The Business Community BLM Fundraiser is a fundraising effort by business organizations at UCSD to raise money in support of the Black Lives Matter movement. WHERE THE MONEY IS GOING Money raised from the fundraiser will be split among the following 3 organizations:... 1) ACLU The ACLU works in the courts, legislatures and communities to defend and preserve the individual rights and liberties guaranteed to all people in this country by the Constitution and laws of the United States. 2) Moral Governance MoGo is the only impact litigation organization in San Diego dedicated to restructuring government. MoGo fights for economic justice for Black people and other people of color who have long been denied opportunities in government contracting and other avenues for economic development. 3) Black Lives Matter Global Network Black Lives Matter Foundation, Inc. is a global organization in the US, UK, and Canada, whose mission is to eradicate white supremacy and build local power to intervene in violence inflicted on Black communities by the state and vigilantes. All donations are being matched 2:1 so we highly encourage you to donate to this worthy cause.

Violence against African-Americans in the United States isn’t new. The tragic murder of George Floyd has rightfully provoked anger and resistance towards an institution that has failed to protect all Americans equally. For many of us, it may seem as though the movement has no relevance to our day-to-day lives. This thinking couldn’t be further from the truth. As Martin Luther King Jr. wrote from Birmingham a jail more than half a century ago: Injustice anywhere is a threat ...Continue reading
