The IFC and its men strive to give back. An exemplar of this sentiment is our Philanthropic Brother of the Week: Imon Mashayekh. Imon is a senior in Chi Phi studying Business Administration in the Haas School of Business. During his sophomore year, Imon worked with The Berkeley Project as part of the Sponsor Committee to host the largest volunteering event in the city of Berkeley, with 1700 students assigned to sites all across the city of Berkeley. Imon personally recruited and spoke with restaurant managers to supply each of the 1700 volunteers with a meal in accordance with their dietary restrictions.

UC Berkeley's lFC is full of professional, scholarly, and philanthropic men. To celebrate the accomplishments of these men we'll be posting profiles on them this semester! Without further ado we bring you our first Professional Brother of the Week: Dante Everaert. Dante is a Junior in Phi Kappa Psi studying Computer Science and Applied Mathematics. He currently, he works at Twist Bioscience Corporation as a Machine Learning Engineer. Next summer he will be at Amazon A9 as a Software Development Engineer Intern, working on the search engine and ML advertising section of Amazon. #ucberkeley

Humans of CalGreeks is looking to bring in some new writers and photographers for the remainder of the Spring 2017 semester and the Fall 2017 semester! On Tuesday April 11th IFC and PHC are hosting Cal Greeks Giants night, a time for the Greek community to come together and watch a ball game! Tickets are $15 and are open to IFC and PHC members and the bus (included in ticket price) will leave at 5:45pm. See you all there!

Happy Holidays from IFC! We wish everyone safe travels and holiday cheer this Winter Break. To kick off the holiday season IFC made toy and gift donations to Burbank Preschool Center in East Oakland and other local charities on behalf of our affiliated organizations. As Berkeley students and members of Greek life it is a duty of us all to foster leadership, friendship, scholarship, and service in our greater community. Great changes begin on a local scale! We encourage ever...yone to embrace the holiday spirit by reaching out to those in need and helping others around you. This November, IFC is proud to announce a Movember Mustache and Beard Growing Competition! The Movember Foundation is fantastic organization dedicated to raising awareness for men's health, focusing on issues such as testicular cancer, prostate cancer, and mental health. To help with their cause, the UC Berkeley fraternity member who grows the best 'stache and gets the most votes will win $250 towards their Movember Cause. Berkeley, CA The members of the Executive Board of the Interfraternity Council at the University of California, Berkeley, on behalf of our 1,500 constituents, wish to express our condemnation of the vile and unjust incidents that have recently occurred in our community. While we have no reason to believe that these were committed by fraternity men on this campus, it is still disheartening and alarming that they have occurred on fraternity property. We wish to reiterate o...ur pledge to eliminate sexual violence from our community and reaffirm our commitment to our members and students of Berkeley to provide a safe environment for all. At the same time, we recognize the immense courage it took for the survivors to report these crimes and will do everything in our power to respect their privacy and their wishes. The IFC has voluntarily decided to suspend all social events until we can reevaluate our risk management practices and care for those who have been affected. The Interfraternity Council is proud to present IFC Night @ CREAM! 15% of proceeds go to BAWAR, a Bay Area charity that provides support and resources to victims of sexual assault!
