Getting lost in a book is my favorite!

Are you trying to get your kids off the video games and engaged in something that doesn’t have a screen? Me too!! We don’t usually buy New Books for the store, but as a parent, I was on a mission to find books I could get our son Carter motivated to read. Being the child of an avid reader (and owner of a bookstore) he has been given a plethora of options, but usually loses interest 2 chapters in... But I Did It! I broke the code! I found a couple of series that Carter could not put down this summer. So I bought them for the store in case there are any other parents out there who relate to our struggle! Especially since we are starting the school year distance/independent learning and we don’t know what the library situation will look like!

If a customer does come in with a mask we will also respect their freedom to do so. However, full faced masks will not be allowed. Lightly Used Books is a judgement free zone. Bullying on... either side of this issue will not be tolerated, and anyone pushing their personal opinion on this issue will be asked to leave. Our store is privately owned and on private property. We have 3400 sq feet of space, ample room for appropriate social distancing. As per the state recommendations we are not in violation as we do have space for social distancing in our commonly shared spaces. See more
