Dear Patrons, On Thursday, December 3, 2020, the Governor announced new State guidance for the Regional Stay Home Order. At this time, the order is not in affect in the San Joaquin Valley region, which includes Tulare County. If this changes the Tulare County Library plans to modify services to meet these guidelines to ensure the safety of our patrons and staff. In light of this most recent information, the Library plans on preparing for reduced services in stages depending o...n the direction received from the State and Local Health Departments. We plan to move to pick up service as a first step with a possible move back to virtual services only. As you may be aware, the Tulare County Library modified services due to the pandemic. As we moved through each change this year, modifications of services moved from virtual to limited in-person, including some inside our buildings. Throughout the epidemic, we continue to evaluate and adjust our response as needed. Safety for our community is our primary concern. Please continue to follow the recommendations from the Tulare County Health Department www.tchhsa.org to reduce the potential spread of this virus. Now is a great time to get a library card either online www.sjvls.org/ecard or by calling 559 713-2711. A library card and PIN allows access to our electronic materials and resources that are available to our cardholders 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at www.tularecountylibrary.org or via our app. These include magazines and newspapers articles, e-books, e-audiobooks, homework help, and so many others. Follow Tulare County Library on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and now on YouTube for more information and resources. Many of our branches are available to follow on Facebook as well. Looking forward to a new year. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Be Safe. Darla Wegener County Librarian Tulare County Library [email protected] See more
