Yellowstone was such an awesome trip! The scouts spent their time hiking, camping, rafting, ropes course, exploring, horseback riding, and viewing wildlife. A trip to remember forever...

Troop 25 had a surprise event today. Everyone knew the start time, end time, and what to bring but nothing else. We had our very own version of The Amazing Race set up. It was a great way to see the patrols strengths and weaknesses and it was also a lot of fun. And we threw in a movie at the end. Congratulations to our red team, Cobras, on your win! Thanks to our drivers, leaders, and all those who played along.

MLK, I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character," reads the quote from King's landmark 1963 "I have a dream" speech from the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington.Jan 29, 2016. https://www.facebook.com/WOSM.OMMS/posts/10155232217041914

Our Troop has been working on the 25 days of kindness for the month of December. We have many scouts showing kindness each day doing good deeds and making the world a better place to live in. We will start with Eric who had his own plan to add to the spirit of giving. Today was the day he has waited for the most. The theme for today was "Enjoy" and that he surely did. He has saved his money throughout the year and also received some cash donations from members of the Yucaipa ...Elks Lodge to help make this possible. Each "Comfort for Christmas" bag contains a new blanket, beanie, pair of socks, pair of gloves, bottle of water, granola bar and fruit snacks. The bags for the women also contained a toiletry kit to help them freshen up. It was such an honor to see what Christmas is truly about, putting others 1st. Eric was able to help 30 individuals have a little bit better day and they were very thankful. He passed out bags in the cities of Yucaipa, San Bernardino, Highland and Colton. We are very proud of Eric and all our scouts for making the holidays special for many.
