On November 5, 2020, author J. Chester Johnson spoke about his book Damaged Heritage: The Elaine Race Massacre and A Story of Reconciliation. The presentation was so much more that the facts and details about the event. It also included the story of the author, whose grandfather was a participant in the massacre, and an African-American woman, whose ancestors were killed, and how they came together to under this horrific event.
