The bandstand in Weaverville was built to showcase the talents of the Eltapome Ladies Band. My great-grandfather A. L. Paulsen was the band leader. Here are the pictures I have of the band. They date from roughly 1900 to 1912.

Trinity County Historical Society's Jake Jackson Museum is closed according to Covid-19 local and state guidelines. We have stopped accepting gift shop orders a...nd answering History & Research questions for the remainder of the year. You can reach us again beginning Wednesday, January 6th. Until then, our staff and volunteers will be enjoying the holidays with their families. We wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
