Tracy Camera Club

With the first fall 2020 photography class offering just about wrapped up (one week left), I am pausing my notes there to put out the flyer and introductory notes for the second fall class: Intermediate Photography. As with the current class, there is NO in-class attendance. For the first time in any class I have taught, I had one student from w-a-y outside the local Tracy, California, area. And, she successfully enrolled and has been a solid participant for the entire offer...ing! With this in mind, and thinking a bit further ahead this time around, I am encouraging anyone with at least "some" photography understanding - familiarity with the exposure controls, camera operation, and composing - to consider enrolling. We will meet for four consecutive Thursday evenings, 6-7:30 pm for the US West Coast (Pacific Daylight Time for two weeks; Pacific Standard Time for the other two). For those elsewhere, I believe the class times would be as follows: an hour later for Mountain Time, two hours later for Central Time, and on the East Coast, it's 9-10:30 pm; or it would be mid-morning for Australia or Japan; and mid-late afternoon for Hawaii. We will have a quick review, as needed, of initial Beginning class understandings of the camera and photography particulars, then delve forward and beyond, adding to your knowledge. With the class being only four 1-1/2 hour sessions ( = 6 hours total), the offering may feel more like a workshop, as we address issues, both in general as well as student-specific interests, via the in-class Zoom discussions and presentations, and with the home assignments and reading emailed materials.
