The Poetry Society of New York (PSNY) and Pandemic Poems paired poets from all over the world who collaborated on a series of "Pandemic Poems." Poets were given a partner, a first line, and a last line. Each pair then worked together, going line for line, to co-create a sonnet in a single day (May 1st). Throughout the day, each poem traveled back and forth between partners until it was complete. Following this communal poetry exchange, The PSNY and Pandemic Poems strung these sonnets together, one after the other, into a sonnet crown (or "corona). Liz Kingsley, Administrative Director of The Writers Studio, participated in this project. Scroll down to number 11 to read her collaboration with poet Katherine Menjivar and enjoy! https://www.poetrysocietyny.org/pandemic-poems-may-day
