*Español abajo* Press conference on jet fuel drop: The FAA is currently investigating details such as how much jet fuel was dumped over our Communities and why in our hoods. Jet fuel, what was dumped over our Communities is made of mostly kerosene, when released, it forms into Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), which is what they are currently testing at schools according to Toxicologist Cyrus Rangan. After treatment, there were no hospitalizations and because of VOC dissipa...tion, there are no more expected cases. LAUSD did cleanup at 20+ schools overnights and are continuing to monitor for VOCs, results so far are "non-detect" which means not substantial. There has been NO community engagement; Delta rep. Dana Debel said Delta is "committed to the community" and that means engaging with electeds.... If you have health concerns contact your medical provider.

https://www.latimes.com//jet-fuel-dump-on-cudahy-school-ch Do you realize just how close to The City of Paramount this is? Paramount Park is approx 4.9 miles from Park Ave school in Cudahy reporting being doused by the jet fuel. Do you realize how vulnerable are communities are to these industries and environmental injustices everyday? ... The media really downplayed this one by saying, "Everything is fine. Everything is ok." Do you think you want your 4 or 5 year old doused with jet fuel while playing at recess?!?! Also, this school was 1 of 7, 7 SCHOOLS! This is happening in our own backyards to our own communities. Alas, we are just letting you know how close this is to our community. Please be aware. Especially when at this time people will make excuses for the airline or say that everything is fine. Because is anyone really ok with this happening to their children? Were you or anyone you know affected by this?
