#Repost @anne_the_nurse with @get_repost Hydrodissection When muscles aren’t used or stretched regularly, the nerves may get caught in the cobwebs that form around them (fascia). This connective tissue causes the nerve to get caught up between muscles with little room to move freely. ... . . With hydrodissection, a sugar solution (dextrose 5%) is injected to break up the fascia. Sometimes we use lidocaine, sometimes it’s not needed. . . Once the fascia is broken up (the cobwebs are cleared) the muscle moves more freely and the nerve isn’t as irritated, providing symptom relief from musculoskeletal pain!! See more
We are having a musculoskeletal only day a week from today! Take advantage of our remaining appointment slots this coming Thursday. We love helping people avoid surgery, and get back to being active and enjoying life.
There are millions of people who suffer from trauma-related symptoms. Many have never sought help and some who have, have not felt relief from traditional treatment methods. Stella Center offers Dr. Lipov’s adaptation of the Stellate Ganglion Block, a treatment that can offer mental trauma symptom relief and enhance traditional remedies’ impact on healing. By partnering with them my patients will receive the same financial benefits and 360 degree comprehensive care offered by the Stella Program while receiving treatment at the How Clinic. To learn more about the Stella Program and how it can help accelerate you on your path to overcoming symptoms of trauma, visit their profile @stellacentermd
We are excited to announce that we have partnered with Stella Center in order to advance our shared mission of bringing peace and healing to those suffering from PTSD. Stellate ganglion block (SGB) is a potentially transformative procedure that dramatically reduces the worst symptoms of PTSD in a large majority of patients. Our partnership with Stella Center will allow us to not only offer patients the procedure itself but also access to a continuum of care involving mental health professionals who are expert in the field and fiercely committed to providing the best possible healing to those that are struggling.
#Repost @eugenelipov with @get_repost Because post traumatic stress has physical impacts, it calls for biological intervention. The Stellate Ganglion Block helps to "reset" your sympathetic nervous system, effectively helping the brain become "unstuck" from old thought patterns. When used alongside psychological therapies, SGB is most effective. To learn more about SGB and see if it might be a good fit for you, visit the link in bio.

#Repost @stellacentermd with @get_repost PTSD from 9/11 has had a delayed impact for some 21% of those in the WTC Health Registry reported new PTSD symptoms 5 to 6 years after 9/11. PTSD due to the 9/11 attacks has taken a toll and continues to impact some people, nearly 2 decades later. Innovation in addressing emotional trauma has become critical. 9/11 and COVID-19 are both trauma inducing, unexpected, tragic events that have created a prolonged state of chronic threat response for many of us an alteration in our biological response system associated with perceived danger. Trauma impact needs to be proactively addressed with our most advanced strategies. The Stellate Ganglion Block, in combination with talk therapy, holds great promise for many who suffer from trauma symptoms.
Amazing work being done out there right now by all the agencies fighting the fires in California. These shots were taken out the kitchen window by of my dear friends. That’s a big plane to be in there throwing elbows but we’re all glad it’s there.
Stellate Ganglion Block (SGB) is a procedure that has been used for chronic pain and other conditions for decades. Since 2008 we have been seeing growing evidence that it can be used to treat the symptoms of PTSD as well. Research is ongoing, but thousands of people who have suffered from hyper-arousal, intrusive thoughts and memories, difficulty sleeping, emotional detachment and volatile mood have seen significant improvement in their symptoms in as little as 20 minutes after getting the procedure. Reach out today to find out more or to schedule a phone call to get your questions answered.
