‘Twas the day before Christmas, but there was no cheer. No jingle bells jingled, no sound of reindeer. The word had gone out that Santa was sick. There would be no visit from jolly St. Nick. The people were sad; no gaiety sounded.... For Christmas had come, but Santa was grounded. He drove down the road, and what should he see? But a sign for two doctors, who were D.C.’s Now Santa was not one to like a new tactic, But all else had failed, so he tried Chiropractic. He entered the office and saw at a glance, in a place such as this, illness hasn't a chance. The office staff smiled, the music was sappy, with all of the patients contented, cheerful and happy. In a very short time, to judge by the clock, he was in the adjusting room, talking to the Docs. It must be the hurry, the tension and all, I simply can't seem to get on the ball. Life used to be easy; just kids, toys and whistles, now I dodge smog, spaceships and missiles. He said in agony, Dr Liz and Dr Lindsay, take a look at the size of this pack! Have you any idea what it does to my back? Poor Santa was miserable and just barely able, with the help of the Drs to get on the table. The Drs were gentle; without a fuss or a tussle they examined the vertebrae and relaxed every muscle. They spotted trouble and then with a click, started aligning the spine of old St. Nick. Santa felt aches and pains slipping away and in no time at all he began to exclaim YAY!. The air was a tingle with new fallen snow and a healthy Kris Kringle was rarin' to go. As he went out the door, he threw them a kiss; why, it had been centuries since he felt as good as this! BIG ANNOUNCEMENT Our hearts are overwhelmed with excitement as we announce that our office is MOVING TO THE BEACH! We want to take the time to thank each and every one of you for being a part of our community and we cannot wait to move forward and grow together even more in the Imperial Beach community! ... As we reflect on the past 3.5 years, some of you have been with us since the beginning when we first opened up shop and only had our little portable tables set up. We are grateful to have grown so much in Master Din’s martial arts studio. You have witnessed our growth and expansion and we are so excited to share with you our new office space! This new space will be filled with many more opportunities for health & wellness in your life. I’m quite honestly shocked when on days like today I’m told that an expectant parent has been... told by their OB that based an a sizing ultrasound, their baby is thought to be too big to birth vaginally and that they will need a cesarean. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS! For one thing, sizing ultrasounds at term can be and often are off by 1-2 pounds! Their accuracy is quite literally as good as guessing (this isn’t true of early dating ultrasounds). Are doctors including this info in their advice to get a cesarean? Hey parents, would you like to base your decision for elective surgery on information we know is inaccurate 50% of the time and that EVEN IF the information was right and you do have a 9 lb baby, it doesn’t mean you can’t have a vaginal birth? Just wow. And how do they explain the error to parents when 50% of the time they pull a 7 lb baby, not a 9 lb out of their surgical incision? Oops???
