Chaplin was a Dancing Cat starlet in the making, though you may not have known it if you visited. This guy wasn’t keen on asking for attention, often snuggling up in a cubby or shelf, but he knew that the best talent scouts would come straight to him. Delia was looking for a feline companion after her own kitty had recently passed. Having had cats for her entire life, she was open to age, gender, and personality she just wanted a steadfast companion. When she visited the Dancing Cat, she found a connection with gentle and unassuming Chaplin. She saw his star potential, and Chaplin soon became Adoption #655!

We were thrilled to partner with Petfoodexpress for their Virtual Pet Fair last month! Thank you to those who participated in the program which awarded our non-profit $25 for every adopter who participated, around 25 in total! As you know every little bit helps and we are grateful to benefit from several of the programs Petfoodexpress offers to rescues like ours.

Queen Kristen ruled from up high most of the time, but she was quick to come down to playtime. Although she wasn’t the biggest fan of her feline roommates, she was the sweetest girl to all her human friends. And, from her time in a foster home, we knew one other peculiar thing about Kristen: she was actually quite fond of dogs. Kristen waited up on her high perch, and then Lisa arrived. Lisa was so excited to welcome a kitty into her home, but she had one specification: that kitty would need to get along with resident dog, Layla. A dog and a home? What more could Kristen ask for! We’re so happy for a wonderful match for Adoption #654.

Zorro was so very sweet that he was scooped up on the very weekend we rescued him! Unlike his namesake, Zorro was not so mysterioushe made it clear that he wanted a home where he could shower his people with affection. Though initially unsure of his environment, Zorro only needed a little encouragement before he was rolling around at your feet, ready for pets! Sumaya was looking for a cat with handsome good looks and a good personality, and she didn’t have to look any further than this funny masked bandit! Zorro is living the good life as Adoption #653.

Former scared community cat turned absolute sweetheart, Banjo is ready for a forever place to call home. For a while, Banjo was a shy guy who would hiss at anyone who approached him. However, you needed only to offer him your hand, and he’d become a purring, rolling snuggle buddy right before your eyes! He loves to be part of the action, but a little too much action can overstimulate this guy. He needs some downtime to relax before he’s back to his affectionate self. Banjo has some muscle atrophy in back legs, so he's a bit wobbly; adopters should be ready to participate in his Banjo’s rehabilitation by playing with him and working on exercises. As this video shows, he is well on his way to being a nimble athelete!

If all that is Autumn could be bundled up, surely you would find all the coziness of Fall in Little Bit's gorgeous fur coat. Sweater weather is upon us soon and while a cable knit might be enough for some, nothing can really compare to the comfort of a soft cat nestled up to you. Little Bit has the bold colors of October but a gentle spirit that is all treat, no tricks. Little Bit is looking for a quiet home to enjoy all the seasons with a special person.

A little Caturday adoption love for a teeny kitten named Dawn who showed us that fearless comes in all sizes! Now living life with a family that includes a dog and a kitten sibling, a new day for Dawn every day as adoption #652 !

National Feral Cat Day is just as much about those who care for and support the feral cat population as it is about raising awareness for them. Visit our stories today for some feral cat facts and remember that just because they don’t want your affection doesn’t mean they don’t deserve your consideration. If you know a trapper or colony feeder, send them some love (and cat food!).

Bonjovi is a big ol' love if you give him some time to show you. He is unassuming and stays out of the limelight, but if the room is chill he comes alive. If you are looking for a companion who will bond with you and possibly a resident cat, this sweet soul is waiting.
