We are excited to announce our sponsorship of the 2021 Art of Giving. This event brings healthy and ill children together to create art, and our contribution will support art and music therapy at Dell Childrens Medical Center.

COVID-19 has presented Chase Child Life programs with unique challenges this year, including the closure of playrooms. We have been able to support these frontline heroes as they have pivoted to the world of virtual play by providing lunches and dinners for hospital staff, sponsoring three months of virtual playrooms at UCLA, and donating necessary supplies to create mini sensory playrooms for patients at Tarzana Medical Center. UCLA Mattel is holding virtual playroom sessions during COVID-19. These play opportunities are 100% virtual via Zoom, and are set in the actual Chase Place playroom so kids are able to see familiar people in a familiar place. These playrooms have been so incredibly successfulmainly due to the socialization aspect. As much as we are all tired of zoom, these playrooms allow our patients to interact and see other kids who are experiencing hospitalization just like they are. As with other social opportunities (in non-COVID times) sometimes it takes seeing another child/teen playing and having fun to encourage another patient to join in and play as well.

We have raised over $70,000 so far! Please help us get to $75,000.

We have raised over $36,000 after the first 5 days of our fundraiser! But, we still have a ways to go to reach $150,000... Childhood Cancer Awareness Month is recognized every September to bring awareness to childhood cancer, which remains the leading cause of death by disease for children under the age of 14. Please consider donating so we can continue supporting Child Life programs at UCLA Mattel Children's Hospital and Providence Tarzana Medical Center.

Announcing our 2020 Fundraiser! For the past 22 years, we have been able to come together every fall on the golf course to learn about and celebrate the efforts of Child Life specialists. Unfortunately, we made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s 23rd annual Chase Foundation golf tournament due to COVID-19. ... Because the golf tournament is our primary annual fundraiser, WE NEED YOUR HELP in order to maintain our support of the Chase Child Life Programs at UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital and Providence Tarzana Medical Center. PLEASE HELP US REACH OUR 2020 FUNDRAISING GOAL OF $150,000! The first $75,000 raised will be matched dollar-for-dollar by the Richards, Heymann, and Valera families, doubling the impact of your donation.

Chase Place at Providence/ Cedars Sinai Tarzana Medical Center is closed due to COVID-19, but Chase Foundation stepped in and funded items like this projector, Vecta mobile station, and weighted blankets to create mini sensory playrooms in each patient’s room.
