Poem by Jack Kerouac and drawing by Carolyn Cassady. The poem is about Neal’s lawsuit against the Southern Pacific when he broke his ankle on the job. Arthur and Kit kept The Beats alive in the 1970s and the 1980s when many books were falling out of print and interest was waning. I remember buying my own copy of this very poster directly from them via mail order around that time and that copy is one of the most photographed items hanging framed on a wall of The Beat Museum since we opened in 2003.
