Welcome back Axl! If you recognize that cute face, that's because yep, he's a former Tails and Scales friend! Owner surrendered to the shelter without warning or much explanation and we finally got to break him out of puppy jail today! Happy, healthy, up to date on shots and still sooo sweet. Axl is a 3 year old, neutered male, Siberian Husky who would do best in a dog only home. We will be working with him to assess any behavioral issues, but so far he just seems ready... to chill and decompress a bit from his past couple of weeks of major change. Poor guy is exhausted! We are looking for a foster (or permanent obviously!) home for this cutie and have so graciously been offered room and board by Bone 2b Wild for a couple weeks if needed, until we can get him settled into a home. Come join us at Protein for Pets Valencia this Halloween for a Spooky Adoption Event! We'll be set up outside the store, masked and ready to show off our furry friends up for adoption! INTRODUCING OUR FIRST EVER HALLOWEEN COSTUME CONTEST! Starting TODAY, you can email your photo submissions to [email protected]. Prizes will be given to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place! Voting will open on the 21st and close on the 28th. Winners will be announced on October 30th! This contest is open to everyone! All animals too, so get those costumes out, snap a photo and email them to [email protected], please include your pets name! On the 21st, we will post all the submissions received and you get to vote for your favorite photo!

Caturday Saturday! These 3 cuties are looking for their FUREVER homes! Bobcat and Pugsley, the first 2 pictured, are 2 year old brothers. They are both neutered and fully vaccinated and ready to go home! The third pictured, is Stella! All Stella's kittens have found their way home, and now it's time for this mama to find hers! Stella is a special case, she initially started as completely feral but is making progress in her current foster home and warming up to the idea of family more and more. Its Tongue out Tuesday with the adorable adoptable Nutmeg! She is a giant lap dog who would love to go on long walks! If you like long walks and cuddles, Nutmeg is your girl!

Bobcat and Pugsley are still in search of their forever home! These 2 year old brothers would do great in a calm home. They can be adopted separate, but we would prefer them stay together.
