This handsome, adorable little guy was named after a famous MLB catcher, Mike Piazza, because he has catcher's mitts that can stop anything from getting past home plate. When he's not catching a game, he's wrestling with his brother Johnny Bench who's also a famous catcher! These two boys know how to make use of every square inch of their playing field by running, jumping, chasing, sliding, wrestling and keeping themselves well entertained. Johnny & Mike sometimes like to amb...ush one of our resident cats but in a playful hilarious way. When they crash and burn, they curl up and snuggle with each other or next to you for a good long nap. Scratching tummies during nap time yields the cutest of purrs so you'll want to take advantage of those precious moments. Kate is a super sweet and mellow 6 year old who loves belly rubs, back massages and cuddling in general. She also has a really cute habit of grunting when you give her pets and affection! She’s a quiet girl who could live in an apartment or condo as long as she gets regular walks. Her foster mom reported she is a sweet girl that loves to snuggle with you all day long. She is very quiet and the perfect work partner. Kate loves going on car rides and enjoys her long walks,... but when she sees another dog or cat, it is best to walk away in the other direction. Kate is housebroken and can understand several tricks and commands including: sit, stay, leave it, down and shake. Kate is a special girl. She came to us in need of medical help and love. Kate has severe food and environmental allergies and needs to have a very specific diet for the rest of her life, but that's a small price to pay for a dog this sweet! Kitten Charm School Student Jackie is learning that people are ok! He foster mom reports "She found the top of the cat condo to be a safe place to be approached and pet. I stood next to her giving her pets last night and she started purring and making biscuits! The first time since she came to us! Bronson was one of the many dogs from a hoarding house in the Santa Barbara area. He has been in a foster home, learning how to be a loved, normal, dog. He has separation issues and would do best with someone who is home often. He also needs to go to a home with another dog as his behavior is much better with a sibling. Daisy Girl came to us as a stray. She was scared, in pain and in need of much love. Her ears have been fly bitten so badly that the tops are gone. We've been treating them and taking care of her and they are close to healing. It seems obvious that she was kept in a yard and not taken care of properly. She has some arthritis in her left hip and it can be managed by a pain reducer/anti inflammatory pill prescribed by a Vet. Please be sure that this is in your budget if interest...ed in adopting her. Daisy is sweet and affectionate and is very active. She will need a home that is patient while training her and where she is treated like one of the family. Potential adopters should be experienced with size and breed. We are unsure how she is with other dogs, a meet and greet is a must. She is a barker and was probably kept outside as a guard dog. The wait over - Teigen is cleared for adoption! After waiting for her to grow enough and two specialty surgeries (big shout out to Animal Specialty Group @asgvets) to repair her cleft palate she is ready for her next chapter. Teigen came to the shelter in July at just 5 weeks old, much smaller than her siblings. The medical staff discovered she couldn’t swallow or eat properly to get enough nutrition. Fast forward after months in foster care and recovery she’s making up for ...lost time. Teigen knows she’s special and is a bit of a diva (in a good way). This feisty girl has a lot of energy and will play for hours. She’s also affectionate and cuddly, especially when she wears herself out. Arthur is a skilled baker, but we're not surprised cause he was born with big mittens. He has 24 toes in total and he *loves* to make biscuits! You know what they say about big paws....it makes him a little shy?! Arthur came to us as a stray and was really scared at the shelter, but it took only a week in a foster home for him to open up and start acting like a big playful sweet kitten. He loves belly rubs and snuggling on the couch but he can still be a little unsure of qui...ck movements and things outside his comfort zone. He is very vocal and makes tiny chirps to communicate with you and with other fur friends. He has A LOT of energy, and he loves other cats.
