Why do we do what we do? Why does our work matter? Why do Defy Entrepreneurs in Training (EITs) join our program? So, why Defy? This year, we’re focusing on four whys behind our work: community, confidence, hope, jobs. Throughout the month, we’ll be sharing the words of EITs across the country who exemplify these whys. Today, meet Javier. His Defy why? Hope. I found out about Defy through a friend and was taken aback that a program like this exists for people like me. Defy changes lives, believes in second chances, and makes a home for those society has deemed unworthy. When people ask me what I’m doing, I'm super proud to tell them that I’m part of Defy's program. I haven't had anything in my life that I've been proud of in a long time.
