In 2020, despite a pandemic and many programs put on pause or scaled down, we saw an increase in the number of #volunteers at the agency with nearly 2,400 volunteers. 2,400 people gave their time, talent and energy to KYCC and the community we serve. Did you know that KYCC plants 1,100 trees each year? KYCC has been working for over 10 years to bring more street trees to our urban communities. Trees clean our air, provide welcome shade and improve both mental and physical health. This semester, the Koreatown Storytelling Program is documenting the history of Los Angeles’s Garment District through the voices of the Korean and Latinx workers known as jobbers.
