Our goal is to offer busin...esses and organizations of all sorts, especially those with movement that desperately need outdoor studio, dojo or gym space a safe open air environment as well as to give the community another safe destination. Priority will be given to local Sunset brick and mortars and home businesses. We are still hammering out details but feel free to reach out if you are interested and please do help spread the word to local businesses and organizations. We are thrilled to welcome some new additions such as @channaranch co-owner @viopastry launching her new pop-up bakery at our market (we are so honored) as we...ll as Sunsets own @sardispasta (selling a beautiful assortment of dried pastas), La Prima Caramela (from neighboring Richmond District) and a few who started within the last few weeks and deserve a mention such as Sunsets own @bearflagbakery , @stepladdercreamery , @foggydewfungi and a HUGE welcome to some of the staff of @underdogstoo_sf who are also artists and will be sharing some of their art with us at tomorrow’s market. Please note that @outersunsetcommunityyoga will offer ONLINE yoga tomorrow at 9:30 instead of outdoors at our market and we are opening up the second block as an open space for the community to use for trying out new toys that need open space. Additionally, our free little library will be out near our info booth for all those little ones looking for an exciting new read . And being the first Sunday of the month, you can connect with Supervisor Gordon Mars staff who are having their monthly open office at the market tomorrow next to INFO booth on Pacheco. We will be offering our Shared Street on 37th Ave between Pacheco and Quintara as an Open Space for the community tomorrow Sunday 12/3 from 6:30am when we first block the street off to approximately 4:30pm when we open the street back up to traffic. This is a great opportunity to bring your little ones out to practice bike riding, skateboarding, scootering etc as well as a perfect opportunity for #sunsetkids of all ages to break out the toys and come play ... distantly and w...ith face coverings of course! As you can see from last week, it was very underutilized so spread the word! It has the perfect very slight slope for learning. Goodbye 2020.... HELLO 2021 I have such mixed feelings about 2020....to say it was eventful is such an understatement. The first adjectives that come to mind are traumatic, chaotic, tragic, unnerving and jarring. However it was also monumental on so many levels....enlightening, humbling, moving, hopeful and frankly exhilarating... especially so when we successfully launched the very first farmers market in the Outer Sunset in July. It was quite unnerving to launch in... the midst of a pandemic. However, with the support of this amazing community, the indispensable guidance and assistance from @d4gordonmar , @pops_sf, @sfoewd and my 2 amazing and wise children and the undiminished perseverance and dedication of all of the incredible farmers, ranchers, producers, food artisans, chefs, makers, merchants, artists, musicians, local causes, organizations, sponsors and Supportships who took a chance on us ... we did it! THANK YOU! We could not have done it without you all It has indeed been such a monumental year. At times it felt unendurable but then scattered throughout the chaos and tragedy were stories of inspiration and hope. 2020 was an extremely humbling year filled with sooooo many teachable moments. I am truly grateful for all that I have learned from 2020 and am grateful to be armed with this deeper awareness going into 2021.
