The kiddos in our programs are getting into the holiday spirit. Our family sites spent time decorating their site with their mothers! Take a look at these yummy gingerbread houses that they built all by themselves!
Congratulations to our Intensive Case Management Services (ICMS) client Barry for sticking to his goals and obtaining a car! Barry was permanently housed by the ICMS program but struggled with addiction. After 6 months of recovery and support from his case manager, Barry is still housed and happy in his new car! We are so proud of you Barry! Continue to knock out your goals! #ICMS #homelessness #housing #HOPICSSTRONG #losangeles #southcentralla #southla #spa6
Calling all property owners and landlords! We need your help! Our Street to Home Program which is prioritizing identified encampments and demobilizing Project RoomKey participants need your help! We have permanently housed over 80 individuals in a few weeks! Help us identify vacant units for housing so that we ensure people are transitioning to homes while giving property owners collaboration for a seamless process in filling vacancies! Tag a property owner/landlord for partnership.
Our Street to Home Program has moved 70 people who were living on the sidewalk into permanent housing in less than three weeks. We still have clients to support and need your help! We are looking for landlords and/or property owners that are interested in providing homes for our community. If interested, please contact [email protected] #StreetToHome #S2H #homelessness #losangeles #spa6 #hopicsstrong
HOPICS is taking a pause in our workday for advocacy through support for #MeasureJ. Supporting #MeasureJ affirms opportunity in Los Angeles for our community. Our clients, our essential employees, our brothers, and sisters. We are our community and #MeasureJ stands for employment, affordable housing, behavioral health services, youth development programs, and alternatives to incarceration. We implore our community to vote #YESonJ because our community depends on it #YourVoteMatters #ReImagineLA #YESonJ #MeasureJ #Vote #VoteLA #HOPICSSTRONG
Our Street to Home Rapid Rehousing Project has been able to successfully move in participants from encampment sites and have supported efforts in demobilizing Project RoomKey clientele by quickly getting clients into permanent housing. Clients from encampments have been homeless for at minimum a year and Project RoomKey clients are at highest risk during the COVID-19 pandemic. Through collaboration of our E6, Housing Department, and Rapid Rehousing Teams, we are supporting clients in their housing endeavors in a big way! If you know a landlord/property owner that would like to help or has units available please contact us at [email protected]
I want to recognize Mount Tabor Missionary Baptist Church for assisting 6 homeless individuals #inCD8 at their weekly Homeless Connect Day. We all must conti...nue to do what we can to connect our unhoused neighbors with the resources and support they need. Every week, Mt. Tabor hosts these conect days to provide hygiene services, clothing donations, and hot meals to our most vulnerable constituents. This past week, they successfully helped Homeless Outreach Program Integrated Care System (HOPICS) outreach workers place 6 of our constituents in interim housing. Sending a huge thank you to Mt. Tabor for consistently doing their part to help the #SouthLA community at large.
