When stay-at-home orders were issued in Thousand Oaks, California, Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, usually buzzing with activity - knitting and quilting groups, y...outh group, praise band practice, book clubs - fell silent. But for three hours a day, a small number of volunteers arrive to serve lunch to those who are homeless. Local farmers provide fresh produce, with grocery stores and restaurants providing food as well. With an LDR COVID-19 grant from the Southwest California Synod to help with unexpected expenses, Holy Trinity has been able to continue God's work in their community. See more
