Kindermusik with Ms. Mel

Tomorrow's class will be our last class of the "up in the sky " theme. For tomorrow please have a balloon (deflated) or a ball, a story blanket, a mirror (or you can always just go to one in your home), colorful streamers for wings - see the bottom photo (could be scarves, long socks), & a rattle or some kind of shaker instrument. Look forward to seeing you all tomorrow.

This has been an awesome way to get some exercise within a "group" setting - emotionally, socially, and physically beneficial!

Hey there!! I hope everyone continues to be healthy at home!! For tomorrow's zoom online class, please have the following: a pillowcase... a towel something they can shake that makes sound. (It could be an egg shaker like we use in class, a baby rattle, it could be a toilet roll with uncooked beans inside rubber-banded off with cloth on the ends. It could be a small plastic container with beans inside - just be sure the lid is tough for them to take off. If there's anyone that didn't get to sign up last week that wanted to, you are welcome to pro rate for the 3 remaining weeks. I look forward to seeing you all tomorrow!!

Here's what you'll need for tomorrow's class . . A drum or anything that can be used as a drum (a cardboard box, a bowl, pan etc. ). Something for everyone. Bubbles and a bubble wand (If you don't have any, that's fine) You can just use your breath for this exercise. ... a story blanket a pillowcase or baby blanket for you to use as a parachute a ball to share

Here's some tips for tomorrow's class. . For #2, let's start in group mode so you can see everyone. After our opening circle and hello song, I will have everyone mute themselves and switch screens to speaker view so you can see me and what I am doing out of the corner of your eye. It's very possible you will see my dog and my cat. My 19 and 18 year old MAY be joining me for the group dances. It's ALLLL good! The more, the merrier! Have fun with it! The children may get distracted like they do in class. That's OK. It's normal. This is brand new. If you stay "in the class", it's likely they will come back to see what you are doing. I will be posting shortly the list of items to have handy for class tomorrow. I can't WAIT!!!

Kindermusik online starts tomorrow morning! This will be a new way of navigating but we will make the most of what we have. We will have some social time, learning, & fun together! Looking forward to seeing you all there!!

Hey everyone!! Missing you all!! I hope everyone is staying healthy! I am hearing that some of the Kindermusik programs are doing an on line class. Please let me know if anyone would be interested in doing that and I will research more on how to make it happen. In the meantime, I wanted to offer to do a zoom call with anyone who would like to participate . . just to say hello and to see your beautiful faces!! Maybe on Thursday at 11am?? Anyone interested in doing that?

Just to be sure you all have heard. . the rec center is closed through the end of the month. Now is a great time to use your Kindermusik at home programs. There's lots of music from our classes and activities you can do with your children. If anyone is in need of childcare, my daughter Mekenna (almost 18) and her friend, Kate are available.... If anyone needs something from the store, let me know and I will check the store when I am out to see if it's in stock there. If anyone gets sick and needs oils, please reach out. I am happy to deliver to your doorstep. I hope everyone stays safe and healthy and hope to see you all again very soon!!!
