Society of Novus Spiritus

The White Light: Novus Spiritus is dedicated to, and calls upon most, the White Light of the Holy Spirit. We feel that it is the manifestation of love between Mother and Father God, and represents their grace and power. It provides solace, strength, and protection from God. The White Light is the primary symbol and manifestation of God's love. The White light is employed on a daily basis for protection and purity. A common prayer used to start each day goes:... Dear Father and Mother, I ask that the White light of the Holy Spirit surrounds and protects me this day, and every day. I ask that it cleanse and purify my soul. I release, right now, any negativity, as so much dark smoke, to be absorbed by the White Light, causing no one harm. Let nothing but love and positive energy pass into or out of this protective bubble. Novus Spiritus uses many visual cues during prayer, the White Light is one of them. The above prayer mentions a protective bubble of light. How is this to be visualized? One method, from Sylvia, is to think about "Glinda the Good" from the movie Wizard of Oz. Remember how she appeared within a pink bubble? Now just put that image (imagination!) around you, and call it the White Light. Presto! You have successfully visualized the White Light of the Holy Spirit. Feel free to pray for others that you care for. Especially call upon the White light to protect your loved ones, just use their name in the above prayer. And please add any other thoughts while reciting the above also. Also, use the protective bubble whenever you travel. Place it around the car, plane, boat etc. Use the White Light in any fashion desired. You can mentally form the Light into shapes, such as an intense beam, to direct at someone (or to heal a malady) You can use it in business meetings to set a positive ambiance. Try it on your coworkers when they need a boost, or are being negative. Use it freely, spread it around, explode it whenever and where ever loving energy is needed. You cannot overuse it. Dealing with Negativity - Listen to Your Inner Voice Q. Any protection against negative people? Your own strength of soul must pull you away from negativity. How Should We Live? The physical body is a temple for the spirit of God, it is merely the vehicle used to do His work. It is the soul within that body that is most important; how you treat others, your tolerance, your patience, your kindness, and the love that you direct toward others will indicate how good a person you are. Always try to treat others in a loving, kind manner. If they are not deserving of that, then simply be tolerant and avoid that group or particular indivi...dual so that you may help others. Do not get caught in the trap of trying to help someone who refuses to be helped. Realize that there are people who do not want help and that you will never be able to help. As Christ said, Do not cast your pearls before swine. Or as an old Indian proverb states, Shake the dust off your moccasins and walk on. The physical body should also be cared for, and as the ancient Greeks said, every thing in moderation. You should not abuse your body in any way, whether it be alcohol, drugs, overeating, or anything that creates a disadvantage from optimum. The body is your temple, show that you respect it. Eat sensibly and moderately without overindulgence in anything that would harm you. This does not mean you must be a vegetarian or follow any certain diet. There are many foods that are good for the body, and some that are not good. Be moderate with those things known to stress the body. The basic guidelines for a spiritual life are: Love others, care for them, and be kind. Never harm someone with malicious intent. Do not unfairly manipulate others for personal gain. Do your best through all of life’s trials. Worship God, however you may know Him. Realize that you are a beautiful, shining part of God. Let others see the light around you. Walk proud knowing that He knows your name. Use your innate goodness to survive life and do the right thing at every turn. Listen intently to your inner voice. Let God run your life. Be like a beacon of truth to others, dispensing His love, grace, and knowledge to all you meet.
