Quick and simple problem solving. Amongst other work to this car we installed a Wevo classic shifter and our customer requested to delete the center console. With it removed, there were exposed mounting and wire routing holes. Here’s a quick recap on what we did. We took a pattern from the factory center console. Cut .063 aluminum to size. Hand formed and radius edges. Made a dimple die specific to the OE Porsche hardware we wanted to use. We used the factory center console as a pattern so there won’t be any witness marks from our panel if they ever want to go back. @joshyrobots Broke Deck 917 shift knob. Getting one of these felt like scoring a Haroshi piece (saying that with maximum respect to both Joshy and Haroshi). Joshy aligns some of our all time favorites with these shift knobs- historical Porsche motorsports, skateboarding and art.
