Singh Sabha Bay Area Milpitas 10.10.2020

This year is unlike any other year and people are hurting due to COVID. There was no usual 4th July parade in city of Fremont this year. Gurdwara Sahib Fremont,... Sikhs for Humanity with FRC organized a special food and sanitizer/mask giveaway for Tri-City Families in need due to COVID19 situation. Groceries, Produce, Fruits, Ice-cream, Beverages, Hand Sanitizer, Face Masks were given away with to about than 400 families in this drive through event. Over 1000 hot meals were also served. Families in their cars started lining around the block since 7:30am. This drive through started at 10:30am and continued unabated for 3 hours in a very organized and controlled manner with following all the social distancing protocols and safe practices. Thanks to more 70 volunteers and city staff who worked tirelessly to make this happen. Thanks to Fremont Mayor Lily Mei, Fremont Police Chief Kim Peterson for taking a volunteer role in the drive and for their help in serving.

! " " , , , ... " " In the midst of the coronavirus, it is essential that we all pull together and support each other, especially the most vulnerable members of our society, the elderly. If any elderly/disabled member living alone or with a lack of support needs assistance in the form of car rides, grocery pickup/drop off, medication pickup/dropoff or any other essential needs, please feel free to call us at one of the numbers provided below and one of our volunteers will assist you. This Sewa is free of cost and we are working in conjunction with Gurdwara Singh Sabha Milpitas. If anyone would like to offer to volunteer, please call one of the numbers below. Thank you.
