Never forget - we need to vote out the current occupant of the WH - and how, but real, true change starts at the local level by electing great candidates that create the policies that affect all of us on a day to day basis.

The City of Simi Valley Small Business Grant (SBG) Program provides financial assistance to eligible, locally-owned small businesses impacted by the Coronavirus (COVID-19) to help continue operations and retain employees. The grant fund’s intended use is for payroll and/or rent/mortgage expenses. Applicants may receive up to $5,000 in the form of a grant that will not require repayment. Some of the criteria for the SBG funding includes that the business: Is open or in the p...rocess of reopening Is physically located within City limits and on a commercial property Be locally-owned (resident of Ventura County or lives within 15 miles of Simi Valley) Was established prior to February 1, 2020 Employs between one and nine full-time equivalent employees Shows financial impact of COVID-19 Demonstrates how funding request will help preserve jobs Priority will be given is to applicants who have not received any other grant funding or assistance The following are ineligible to apply: Nonprofit organizations and home-based businesses Businesses with ownership or partners currently undergoing bankruptcy proceedings Elected officials, officers, agents, and employees of the City of Simi Valley The application period will be open September 23 through October 9, 2020.
