Toban here on Day 6: In the past few years I’ve started making textiles, costumes, & soft sculpture thanks to the wonderful friends at Remainders Creative Reuse in Pasadena. I was taught to sew by @robincox55, who has become a very good friend. . She and I have worked together on many of these textile projects seen in these photos. .... Also shown, a quilt piece I made under the tutelage of Lizz @quiltingforcommunity. She has also become a great friend and mentor. Both of these women have shown me ways of working that stretch my boundaries and understanding of how to make art and find new ways to express myself.
