Although this year is different than others, @echoparkfm still celebrated Día de los Muertos by building a beautiful altar, and our markets were overflowing with cempazuchitl flowers. Read on to learn about the dedication of this year's altar, and swipe to see our vendor Daniel with cempazuchitl flowers from Patty & Myriad at @atwatervillagefm. This altar was made in honor and remembrance of the more than 7,000 Angelenos who lost their lives so far this year due to COVID-19. We especially want to honor the essential workers who we have lost: the farmers, the food service workers, and everyone who ensures we have food on our tables. Perhaps one of the most devastating realities during this time of COVID-19, is that so many people spent their last minutes in isoloation without the consolation of their loved ones. With this altar, we welcome back those who we have lost to join us and celebrate their lives."

@Walrus_hedgehog is a uniquely crafted catering company that started in their local farmer's market and grew with their community. Everything is made from scratch and ingredients are sourced from their fellow market vendors. The creativity and care they put into each dish are present in the quality as they invite others into their family through each meal. They've been serving market favorites at @thehfm since 2016 and customers just love them. Currently, they have an online pantry and catering model with hopes to get back into the markets soon. Stay tuned on their return or check out their catering menu and consider having their delicacies at your next family gathering! Photos by @caraelisetaylorr

The @solafoodcoop team is made up of trailblazers looking to provide healthy food options in a community that has very few. They plan to soon open a full-service, community-owned grocery store that will shift the environment and culture of their South LA neighborhood. @solafoodcoop has been educating market shoppers on the cooperative model and selling future co-op products at our @crenshawfm since 2016!SoLA Food Co-op will change how their community relates to nourishing good food - the potential health and economic empowerment will have everlasting effects! It's been a thrill having them a part of year 1 of the #SeasonedAccelerator. Check out more of their story and consider becoming a founding owner-member of this community gem!

@shucksoystercompany is a family-owned oyster bar catering service that launched in 2012 by husband and wife team, Jennifer and Ali Benhawi. United in their commitment to support the environment, community, and to promote marine conservation, they started Shucks to serve some of the freshest oysters available for events throughout Los Angeles. "Oysters are one of nature’s true delicacies. They're rich in vitamins and minerals and farming them improves the water quality of ...oceans and estuary habitats" Before COVID related market shifts, you could find them at @thehfm & @atwatervillagefm though currently, they're focused on doing Catering Delivery and Direct to Consumer Deliver with a food truck set to hit the road early 2021!! Shucks Oyster Company is proud to serve oysters everywhere in LA, from local neighborhood farmers markets to exclusive A-lister events! We're excited to have them in this year's #SeasonedAccelerator cohort! photos by @caraelisetaylorr & @_jesykawhite
